What I am going to discuss in this article are 2 simple ways that you can obtain first place search engine rankings for many keywords across the web.  These two simple ways are by first: creating videos, and by second:  creating articles.  But you have to do things the right way…

One of your major goals when creating articles or videos should be keyword domination.  Each article or video can still get tons of exposure across the web if you don’t dominate a keyword phrase, but since it can be rather easy in some niches, you will want to craft your articles and videos so that they may get ranking high in the search engines.  You see, if you go to Google right now to do research on a specific topic, chances are that you will run into a bunch of articles and videos throughout your searches.  So, as you can imagine, if you target the correct keyword phrases, you will soon find a bunch of your content across the web with these same types of results.    

After picking the keyword phrase that you want to dominate, you will then need to take additional steps in order to find your article or video at the top of the search engine rankings.  One of the best things you can do is to use a keyword help tool in order to create the tags for your article or video.  What you are really looking for you do this are keyword phrases that are very similar to your “target” keyword phrase.  For example, if I was writing an article on dog training tips, then I might use the following 6 keyword phrases as my tags:  dog training tips, dog potty training tips, dog obedience training tips, free dog training tips, dog house training tips, adult dog training tips. 

So, after you have your 6 tags, what you then need to do is chose keyword rich titles.  With our dog training example, we might decide to name an article:  Basic Dog Training Tips:  How To Train Your Dog To Sit, Stand, and Play Dead.  As you can see, I was able with this title to easily include my target keyword phrase “dog training tips,” while including the keywords “train” and “dog” a second time in the title.  All of this was done while still having the title make sense.  Just remember that when you make these titles, it can’t just be a bunch of rubbish.  Your goal is to make it keyword rich, still make sense, and to have it be an interesting article title.

You can use this method every time you create an article or video for the web.  You can then use specific software programs that allow you to submit each article to hundreds of article directory sties and each video to over 40 video sharing and social networking sites.  As a result, each article and video that you submit can get great exposure across the web for lots of free website traffic, many of it coming from your new top Google rankings.

So, why does all of this work?  Well, for a number of niche markets, virtually nobody has creating any real content for the web.  This is likely because there are so many companies out there that think that “internet marketing” is learning how to capitalize on AdWords.  As a result, you have more and more websites that put up websites quickly just to sell products and services.  Many of these sites have failed to realize that content is important.  So, if you create articles and videos for your websites, submit them across the web, and also put this same content on your blog or site, you will likely be doing what almost no one is doing in your niche.  Then, the search engines will see your site as the true “leader” for your market.

The first way that you can implement today in order to get a top 10 Google ranking in less than 24 hours is through using video marketing and then optimizing your videos correctly.  Lots of people have experimented with video marketing, but few people know how to get that video to the top of the search engines.  Here’s the secret:  Optimize your video for a long-tail keyword phrase.  Think about it, if you optimize your video for the keyword phrase- internet marketing, do you think there is any possible way your video will get a top 10 ranking?  Nope!  Your chances are zero to none.  But, if you optimize your video for the keyword phrase:  MLM internet marketing, then will your video have a chance at a top 10 spot?  The answer is yes!  And the reason why is because this keyword phrase is a lot less competitive.  Plus, while writing this article I typed in the keyword phrase- MLM internet marketing, and the number 6 spot came from a YouTube video.  I did the same thing for the keyword phrase- easy internet marketing, and there was a YouTube video at the number 7 spot.  Was it an accident that these videos got Google rankings?  No, it wasn’t.  The people who created this videos knew that they needed to optimize their videos, and as a result, Google saw these videos as one of the most relevant web pages for these keyword phrases. 

Now here a second way that you can get a top 10 Google ranking in less than 24 hours:  This time you are going to write and optimize interesting articles.   First of all, don’t make the mistake that you should optimize your articles the same way you do your videos.  Video marketing is a whole different ball game!  But, the concepts are the same.  If you have a target long-tail keyword phrase, and you try to include lots of content relative to your phrase in your article, then there will be good chances that you will get a top 10 spot for your article.  You KNOW this works because how many times have you been searching for information on the web and found an article at the #1 spot of the search engines?  This happens all the time folks!  And if you submit a get your article accepted by a number of article directory websites, then you will likely find your article ranked somewhere in the search results for your target long-tail keyword phrase. 

And now of the third, most exciting way to get a top 10 ranking in less than 24 hours.  To me this is the most exciting, because it will be content that is linked directly to your website.  This whole system involves putting a blog on your website.  When you have a blog on your website, and you post regularly to this blog, then the same results that you achieve with your article marketing can happen with your blog, but this time, people are going straight to your site!  So, what do you do?  You simply post each of your articles, videos, and newsletter emails to your blog.  This adds tons of pages of content to your website that can get great rankings on the search engines.  Once your blog is ranked high for a number of different pages, then your entire website will get ranked for even more competitive keyword phrases, which means big profits for you and your business!

With your market research, you need to realize that videos do get ranked by the search engines, but generally this will happen with less competitive markets and keyword phrases. For example, a couple of weeks ago we helped a friend get some pretty good Google rankings through video marketing in order to drive more customers to her local hair salon. Even though she was competing with hundreds of other salons, her competition was still next to nothing because not very many salon owners are internet marketers.

If you are in a competitive market, your videos can still get top search engine rakings, but you’ll have to work harder on your keyword research and go after very specific keyword phrases. For example, a video optimized for the phrase “internet marketing” isn’t going to make it to Google’s front page, but a video optimized for the phrase “online marketing for beginners” could because it is a phrase that few people optimize for and it still gets monthly searches according to my secret keyword tool (which isn’t so secret, it’s the Google AdWords keyword tool).

When I optimize my videos, I simply make sure that I start off my title with my target keyword phrase and then include that keyword and other similar keyword phrases in the tags. I also will occasionally make sure to include those similar keyword phrases in the description of my video.

My 4th step is using a video uploading software. My favorite video uploading software is found at www.videotrafficandleads.com. If you only upload to YouTube, your videos may or may not make it to the front page. If you upload to various video sharing sites, then you improve your chances. I continue to upload videos according to the target keyword phrases that I want to dominate until I have a large amount of the front page listings for Google. Now that’s what I call REAL free Google advertising!

Some of you are familiar with Google Webmaster Central, and some of you probably aren’t. If you aren’t then you’ll need to know that the #1 most important thing you can do at Google Webmaster Central is submit a sitemap to Google.

What will this do? Well, submitting a sitemap will provide Google with a “map” to your site, allowing them to more easily spider your site. You can also tell Google how often they should spider your site for new content.

Won’t your site get spidered naturally? Well, sometimes, and it usually will take a while if you haven’t submitted a sitemap. If you want your site spidered more often, then you MUST submit a sitemap to Google. This is my biggest secret for RSSEO (what I call Really Simple Search Engine Optimization), but most people will still never submit a sitemap. Why? Because they don’t know how to write one. Well, guess what, neither do I! I cheat and use a simple software program that writes my sitemaps for me. “Why does anyone pay for advertising with Google? If you know anything about SEO and work at it a bit, you get great placement for free.”

Now, the person who wrote this post was confused, and I now understand why. You see, getting free advertising on Google is easy but few people know how to do it. We are all taught in the beginning to just pay for Google AdWords, and the truth is, this is the most easy thing you can do for traffic, if you don’t get “slapped” with $1, $2, and $5 clicks. Now here’s the funny thing: The type of websites that do get slapped by Google are the types of sites that also don’t get free advertising from Google. But, if those website owners learn how to get free advertising from Google, then they won’t need to use AdWords as much. Crazy right?

Well, yes, it is kind of crazy. And I’m proof of it. I got slapped by Google, and hard! I learned that I needed to improve the content on my site in order to undo that slap, but then I started getting so much free traffic from Google, I decided to stop paying for AdWords.

The steps I take are different if I want to get free advertising using my videos, articles, or through a social networking site. These are the 3 steps I take with my blogs.

In step #1 you’ll learn that if you are in a market like mine, you are going to want to target specific keyword phrases with minimal competition. You can make it to the top of Google for harder keyword phrases, but there are thousands of people you may be competing against. I recommend you find a target market that you can dominate that isn’t already full of internet marketers.

In step #2 I use one of my favorite keyword research tools: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal. This is the step where the magic happens. I find keyword phrases (in this blog post “free Google advertising”) where there is little or no advertising competition. If there is no advertising competition, then there is usually little competition amongst marketers optimizing for those keyword phrases. I usually will double check by heading on over to Google to see what my competition looks like.

Step #3 is the reason why you might see me post 7 to 10 similar blog posts within a couple of weeks. I will post my blogs targeting the keyword phrases that I desire according to how long it takes me to get to the first page of Google. Once I am there I then see if it will be worth my efforts to keep posting in order to get to the #1 spot on Google.

So, here was the basic concept behind that product. First, you spend a good amount of money in order to get the number one spots for many of the keywords that you would choose for your business on Google. Then you find a bunch of websites that are related to what your website does, but that aren’t necessarily direct competitors. For example, if you sell tents, then you may want to contact a company that sells other camping gear. Once you contact that company, what you basically want to do is sell them advertising space on your website. You would charge them a monthly fee to do this. Once you find enough websites that will purchase advertising space on your website, then all of your AdWords can be paid for through that advertising.

Even though I know that this concept would work, this is not the route that I would want to get in order to get free advertising on Google. The main reason why I wouldn’t want to do this is because I am greedy and I don’t want other people’s advertisements on my website. It’s my space for selling and I don’t want it selling your stuff. The second reason why I wouldn’t want to do this is because I know I can spend my time getting “free AdWords” through other free traffic generation techniques. Basically, I have discovered some easy ways to getting your content indexed and ranked on the search engines, so I don’t want to waste my time contacting other websites in order to sell them advertising space on my website.

One of the tactics that I use is through what I am doing right now. I am posting a blog to my website. It really is only taking me about 20 minutes time to write this post, and it will only take me a few minutes more to post this blog. So, with this post I am only spending about 30 minutes of my time. I have set up and optimized my blog and website so that every time I write a new post, it starts generating free traffic to my website. You can see that I have links on my blog so that people can click and learn about products that I promote or sell that will actually make me some money. So, if I can get the free blog traffic, and then if I can drive that traffic to my product pages, then I am making money.

One huge trick that worked really well for me was to simply add more content to my website. You see, back when I was a victim of the Google Slap, I only had a 2 page website. One page was for my offer, and the other page was for taking orders. After I learned that Google doesn’t find these 2 page websites very relevant, I decided that I should add a blog to websites that have little content. About 3 weeks after I added a blog to my website, Google decided to “remove the slap.” All I did was take the content that I sent to my subscribers list and added it to my blog. With all of these added pages, Google started to see my website as a “real” website. Also, Google started ranking these blog pages for me. So, one major “trick” for Google optimization is to actually have content on your website. If you don’t have much content, then add some. And the easiest way to add multiple pages to your website is by adding a blog.

O.K., a second “trick” for Google optimization that almost anyone will tell you is to obtain inbound links to your website. The only problem with this is that you can’t really “create” inbound links to your website unless you buy them. And if you buy them, and Google finds out that you have been buying all of your inbound links, then they will more than likely stop ranking your website. So, the trick is that you want people to link to your website, and you need ways to do this that Google would approve of. You may not like the answer, but the best way to get people to link to your website goes back to my first little bit of advice. If you create more quality content for your website, then people will naturally link to your website.

There is another option to create inbound links to your website if you are a bit impatient. I am sure you have heard of link exchanging. There are services that will do this for you, but I would never do this. I would exchange links with people and websites that I trust. Also, Google could possibly frown upon you if you decide to use a link exchange program. I would be very selective of the people that you exchange links with. If you pick and chose just a few trusted websites to exchange links with, then this will likely look better than exchanging links with 20 or more “strangers” across the web that may be using black hat techniques to drive traffic to their websites. You do NOT want to be associated with people using black hat SEO tactics.

One last “trick” that I want to share with you is to simply optimize your web pages by giving them a theme. This is a very basic SEO practice, but lots of people don’t do it because they just do know that they still should. You see, back in the day, people use to get really excited about using meta tags to get higher search engine rankings. Then, the search engines stopped giving people high ranking pages just because of what was in your meta tags, but this doesn’t mean that you should stop using meta tags.

In your html for each page, you are still going to want to “theme” each page. Some people give the same title for each off their website pages, instead, you will want to title each page according to that pages content. Also, make sure to offer a few meta tags for each web page that are slightly more specific to your page. You have probably also heard that you should include keywords relevant to your “theme” for each page. This is true, but you shouldn’t load the page with too many keywords because many people believe that this can actually hurt your page’s ranking instead of help it. So, my best advice to you is to include a few good keyword phrases relevant to each page’s theme but do over do it.

You should still write your page so that a normal reader (and not a Google Bot) will think that you page makes sense and that it has good content. For example, if I was optimizing this article, and if I wanted the search engines to think that the main theme was “easy Google optimization,” then I would maybe include a few sentences that started off like this: “And another really easy Google optimization tactic is to…” But, I wouldn’t want to include sentences in my article or web page that sounded repetitive to the reader like: “Easy Google Optimization Tactic #3: The easy Google optimization trick that I like the best, which gets me some really really easy Google optimization, is….” Now, I know that most of you wouldn’t write sentences like this for a normal web page or for a normal article, but the sad truth is that you will find people all across the web that will write entire pages in this boring, repetitive manner. Just remember that you are still writing your pages for people, and you want these same people to bookmark your website and link to your pages. But who would want to link to your website if it was obvious that you are loading your web pages with keywords for the search engines?
