This shows us that I received 571 visits from ClickBank over the past 10 months.  65.67% of those visitors were unique.  This means that I had a total of 375 unique visitors coming from ClickBank, and most if not all of these visitors are likely affiliate marketers.  Do you think I have received a large amount of affiliate traffic from this product?  You bet I did!  This is the power of affiliate marketing, this is why anyone with a website should set up an affiliate program.  It’s just smart!

One of my favorite companies that I use to set up my affiliate marketing is ClickBank. This works best for digitally delivered products, so if you have tangible products that you sell on your site, you can take a lot at another great company that will set up an affiliate program for you.  That company is called DoubleClick Performics.

But this short blog post will discuss the power behind ClickBank. The beauty of using ClickBank is that you can easily obtain a large group of affiliates that do a majority of your marketing for you, and the cost to set up your website through ClickBank is a bargain at only $50. A large amount of your advertising cost will then be free and you only pay your affiliates commissions if sales are generated for you.

Now, I must warn you:  the affiliates on ClickBank that visit your site will see your site, and they will easily laugh if they find that your site isn’t designed to sell.  If this happens, only novice affiliate marketers may decide to become your affiliate.  The warning here is that you MUST DESIGN AND MAKE YOUR SITE SELL.  We are talking about at least having 1% of your visitors deciding to make a purchase decision, and if you are selling a “less expensive” product, you better make sure 2 or 3% are buying.  Now the cool thing is that you might have a product that you sell on ClickBank for $97 that might only sell at a 1% rate.  If you offered a 70% commission on that type of product, then after ClickBank takes it’s fees, your affiliates are making around 65 cents every time they get a visitor to your site, or $65 for every 100 visitors.  Not bad right?  So, make sure that your website sells, and make sure that your affiliate marketers get compensated well for their efforts, and you will drive a whole lot of free website traffic through ClickBank’s affiliate marketers.

So, here’s the deal.  I could go to ClickBank right now and become an affiliate for thousands of different affiliate programs.  In fact, with a quick search I found tons of different products that people were selling on ClickBank about how to make huge profits with ClickBank.  Now, since I am writing an article about how to easily get free traffic through ClickBank, what I could easily do is give a plug for one of the most successful products that teach you how to profit from ClickBank.  I actually won’t do this because there is a good chance that your articles will be rejected by the article directory sites when you include affiliate links, but the whole point is that each and every day people are going to ClickBank in order to include affiliate links on their blogs, websites, and in their email marketing.  In fact, with my least popular ClickBank product, I still get an average of about 25 visitors per week to my website through ClickBank. 

Now, I admit that 25 free visitors per week isn’t something to get to excited about, but keep in mind that these 25 visitors are usually people who are looking for a profitable affiliate program.  If only one of these 25 visitors per week decide to become my affiliate, then that is 1 person per week that has decided to start advertising my website for me! 

The trick is that you want as many of your website visitors from ClickBank to deicde to become your affiliate, and there are a few simple steps that you can take in order to make this happen.  One thing you need to do is to create a pitch page that really stands out.  Usually ClickBank affiliates like to see a really great sales letter.  I have spent weeks on just one sales letter trying to make it the most impressive sales copy possible so that normal visitors will be compelled to buy and so that people looking for an affiliate program will have faith that my sales copy will sell, meaning money in their pockets. 

There is a rather large correlation on ClickBank with the types of websites that have tons of affiliates and with the types of websites that have zero affiliates.  What I like to do is occasionally look at the websites that have zero affiliates in order to try and figure out why nobody wants to participate in their affiliate program.  Usually it is pretty easy to see why certain website’s affiliate programs fail.  One big thing I see often are websites with very poor graphics.  For a few hundred dollars you can easily hire a company to provide you with professional looking graphics for your digital product, for your website banner, and for your sales letter. 

The second biggest thing I see is people who try to write a great sales letter but who really have no idea what they are doing.  My suggestion here is to get a little bit of training on how to write a good sales letter.  This can go a long way and is a skill that you can use for websites that you write in the future. 

The third biggest thing that I see people do that causes few people to want to join your affiliate program is you offer a very small commission on an unpopular product.  The maximum amount of commission that you can offer your ClickBank affiliates is 75%.  If nobody has discovered your product yet, then why not give your affiliates the highest commission possible?  They are truly doing you a favor by spreading the word about your new product, so they deserve the highest payout that you can give them.    Basically, if you follow fair business practices, make your website appealing, and provide a decent sales message to your website visitors, then many of the affiliates who use ClickBank will give your product and chance, and when those affiliates start profiting from your product, then your website will receive large amounts of free traffic and exposure.
