People get really confused about this SEO stuff, and the main reason why is probably because there are a lot of companies out there that want to confuse you. They want you to think that search engine optimization is a hard thing so that they have a chance at charging you thousands of dollars for optimization that may only get you minimal results. Some of the biggest tips I have received for search engine optimization have all worked, and since search engine optimization wasn’t meant to be hard, many of the most effective tips are actually easy enough for almost anyone to do. This being said, I want to just share with you 3 easy tips that can act as super effective SEO for your websites.

Easy Tip #1: Go after easier keyword phrases. It makes since that it should be easier for you to get the #1 rank for the keywords- Utah real estate agents, rather than the keywords- real estate agents. Using this example, if you are a real estate agent in North Carolina, you will want to simply try to optimize your web pages for keywords that people may type in if they were trying to find a real estate agent in some of the cities of North Carolina. For example, how many people do you think have optimized web pages for the keywords- real estate agents in Charlotte? Since many people don’t even know basic SEO, you could very easily be the only person on the web optimizing your website for keyword phrases that are this specific. Now, think about this: If your real estate practice is in North Carolina, and you easily get the number one spot on the search engines for- real estate agents in Charlotte, then how hard would it be to get the number one spots for other cities like Durham and Fayetteville? Even if you aren’t in these cities, you could generate leads and sell these leads to some of the agents you know in these other cities, plus your website would get more and more popular in many of the cities of North Carolina. Before you know it, you will probably have the number one spot for the keyword phrases- NC real estate, and North Carolina real estate. If you can do this for one state, then you can do it for another state. Building your website so that you dominate the rankings for various less competitive keyword phrases will help build your business and may eventually get you to the top of the rankings!

Easy Tip #2: Simply create a blog on your website. You just simply won’t believe how much free traffic creating a blog can do for you. Basically, when creating a blog you are able to easily create multiple pages for your website, and each time you create a post, this creates another page. So if you can post even just a few times per week, this adds a few pages each week to your website. Also, the search engines like blogs because it is fresh content that is updated frequently. It is not uncommon to see blogs getting the number one spot for certain keyword phrases, and you can do the same. Just simply head on over to WordPress.org in order to get the software to upload to your websites server. It’s free.

Easy Tip #3: Still use meta tags and titles. Even though the search engines aren’t going to rank your pages because of what your meta tags are saying, they are still important to have. Using the meta tags and the titles as a “guide” for the search engines can actually help you out. You will want to guide the search engines through the content on your pages. If you have a page about real estate agents in Charlotte, North Carolina, then you will want to have your title and meta tags relate to this topic. After you have done this, you better make sure that your page talks about how people can get in contact with real estate agents in Charlotte, North Carolina! You may even want to make sure that the phrases and meta tags act as keywords as well in the context of these pages. If you let the search engines use your titles and meta tags in order to guide them to the bulk of the content on your pages, and if the search engines find your content (not your tags and titles) relevant, then you can get those pages indexed and ranked.

Everyone in direct sales that has a replicated website must have a capture page for differentiation purposes. Whether you’re in real estate, insurance, network marketing, or any other direct selling field, you probably know the importance of branding yourself to keep yourself apart from others. It’s also a great tool to build a prospecting list. Here’s how to use simple search engine optimization to get your landing page to the top of Google, Yahoo, MSN, or any of the others.

I should first apologize to those more advanced web page designers and internet marketers that have gotten into this article accidently from my slick headline. This article is about basic webpage optimization. I will hope for your forgiveness also for this second transgression: I’m showing newbies just how easy it is to build a webpage for practically any product, service, or other endeavor. This means you can’t charge them thousands of dollars anymore unless they are just completely overwhelmed in the time schedules.

In general, the major search engines function in the same way. They look for these things to identify the theme of a web page:

URL: The URL is the web address of a web page. Including relevant keywords in the page URL can help your rankings, so work with your webmaster (if you still have one after reading this) to create static URLs with keywords included. Don’t get crazy, though – don’t try to have 10 different keywords in a URL.

Page Title: The page title is the text that appears in the blue bar at the top of your browser. A search engine uses the page title (also called the title tag) to identify pages and show users the relevance of the page. The page title also shows up as the link when a search result is returned. Keep title tags short and precise, between 8-9 words. Every page should have a unique and relevant page title.

Metadata: Okay, you should know that meta tags aren’t as important as they used to be. But including your main keywords in your page metadata can help Google differentiate between different pages. Make sure your metadata is specific to each individual page and that it doesn’t include any words that are not related to the text of that page.

Text: The content of the page should be relevant to the topic mentioned in your title tag, metadata and URL. Make sure you mention your keywords as well as other words that relate to the basic theme of the page. The main idea is to have each page stay in its own theme.

Lots of people focus on things like keyword density (the number of times the keyword is mentioned) and keyword patterns (where the keyword is found, like in the first paragraph, first sentence, last sentence, etc.). Google algorithms continue to become more intelligent, and in my opinion, your best strategy (especially for the long term) is to write your content with the user in mind. Write for your visitors and you will almost always create content that Google “likes” too.

Think of it this way: Being number one in the search rankings is important, but if you’re number two and you’ve optimized your content for the user, you’ll probably get more repeat visitors and sales than if you create pages focusing exclusively on getting better search rankings. Website visitors can see right through these techniques.

If you currently operate a website, your webmaster can help you with each of the items above.

If you’re developing a new site, be sure your site is set up properly from the beginning, or from the ground up. Make sure you can create title tags for each page, name each page with a separate URL, and include page specific metadata. The last thing you’ll want to do is to go back later and correct any basic site structure problems that you could have done right the first time (That last sentence should not be restricted to SEO, but applied to other areas of life and work!).If all this just seems like too much work, here’s a great service that does most of the work for you without costing you an arm and a leg. www.iwantwebpages.com

Not true! You only need to interest a select few. These are the 3% that WILL buy. These are the people you are speaking to. These few will make you all the money you need. You want buyers — not warm bodies! The people who get on your optin list and are just looking for free info take up your valuable time and resources. But they do not return anything to you. Avoid them!

But you still have to GET to those select few. And the only way to do that is with dynamic, powerful and very skillfully done marketing materials. This could be electrifying copy writing, powerful videos, or a well done eBook that goes viral and ends up in the email boxes of the all of the 3 percenters. If there is nothing about your service or product or opportunity that excites readers, you are going to have a hard go of it. That’s why you should only concern yourself with those that WILL be excited.

Tin my opinion, this is the only way to work with niche markets. To appeal to a particular subgroup of buyers, you must slant your communications to be more relevant to them. You want to use language that your niche market uses. You certainly don’t want to use words that a software author would understand if you’re writing for an audience of stay-at-home moms looking for easy recipes! If you’re writing to the average American reader, you would use PhD level literary skills.

You have to believe in what you offer. People who have passion about their opportunity, product or service are more successful almost without exception.

At the same time, your customers and prospects need to have a little passion about your product, service and opportunity. Your passion must be contagious! They must sense what you sense. The reader must feel what you feel. You have to get them caught up in the intensity of your strong beliefs service, product and opportunity. This comes automatically if you have the belief, but skills are a big plus. Targeting your market correctly also wins a big head start. If they’re passionate about the problem you’re helping them solve, why would they NOT be excited about the solution?

What are you offering people that allows them to make a strong emotional connection to you, your company, or your product and opportunity? It doesn’t matter what you provide, be it a line of vitamins, toys, or plumbing services. Your prospective customers need to feel the value of the product. They need to see and understand what your product will do for them. They must get excited!

Project your passion to your prospects and some of them will respond. The ones you want to respond will respond! And that’s what counts. That’s why you’re only trying to get THEIR attention.

You can make a big profit catering to a select minority. You don’t need to appeal to the majority of people. You just have to make a small group of people like your offer and like it very much. For example, in your business a person may pay $3000 or more for a simple direct mail package. Now, that sounds like a lot of money to some people. And it is. But if that person builds a million dollar business from that one direct mail package the $3000 is mere pocket change! So everything is relevant. You want to appeal to buyers. In most cases, price is not a factor. People will pay the price if it’s valuable to them. You want your offer to appeal to people who want, and are actively seeking what you provide. Not people who really can’t afford the product. People that can’t afford it are not actively seeking it. But they may be curious about free info…(They’ll most likely stay on your autoresponder forever)

You want to target your message to the type of people you want to respond. If you want buyers, you target buyers. Of course this tends to make the group you are aiming at smaller. But if you hit them with a personalized message they will be more responsive than if you use the so-called “shotgun” approach with a weak, broad message that ends up being of little interest to anyone. These messages are not heard above the roar of marketing that people are inundated daily.

Don’t be politically correct in this. Target certain age, gender, race, religion, political views, anything that will get their attention.

Your marketing material must have a powerful punch. I see sales letters everyday written by people who mean well. They simply don’t know how to get their point across. And they try to target too large an audience. If you can avoid these traps you can join the ranks of the successful marketers. Remember that the 80/20 rule applies everywhere. 80% of marketing success is had by 20% of the marketers. What are you willing to do to become one of the 20 percenters?

Fortunately, I have been blessed due to the fact that I am in no way a webmaster, but I have been able to achieve high search engine rankings for a number of keyword phrases that I need to dominate in my niche markets. You can get great search engine rankings by following a few simple techniques and then by focusing on creating your site for real people. I share this information with you today because I constantly see programs that will help improve your search engine rankings, but I honestly believe that most of them aren’t very effective.

One example of the programs in which I don’t waste my time is the many link building programs across the web. Even though link building can be very important, my suggestion is that you just let inbound links come naturally. If you have a good website, then people will link to you. Also, if you get the chance to set up a simple affiliate program, then even more people will link to you.

I recently read an article that said that some websites with Google page ranks of 7 or higher will actually let you pay them thousands of dollars per month in order for them to link to your website. All I can say is: WOW! You better hope that the search engines don’t find out! If you haven’t heard, there can be some serious consequences for websites that have been discovered buying or selling link placement.

O.K., so I would like to cover a couple of things that you can do to get easy and effective SEO without spending a dime. Also, by following these steps, people will eventually start to naturally link to your website. Let’s start off by further explaining the power of having a blog on your site. A blog is a really easy way in order for you to build tons of good content for your website and to start getting more links. Many bloggers discover that they can get a lot of free exposure to their blogs in a short period of time.

Let me share an example: For one of my sites, I got “slapped” by Google for the critical keyword phrases that I needed to advertise my business. This means that Google wanted to charge me between $5 and $10 per click for those keyword phrases. In an attempt to fix things, I decided that I should add a blog to that same website. After only a few weeks of posting, Google had started ranking my website naturally for the same keyword phrases that they wanted $5 and $10 a click for! Why did Google change their minds? Well, it was due to the simple fact that I started easily creating pages and pages of quality content through the blog that focused directly on those keyword phrases. When it comes to SEO, content is king, and if you can start to grow a nice blog, then you will grow content fast.

At times Google and other search engines will start naturally visiting your website in order to spider, index and rank your pages, but this can sometimes take months to happen unless you follow this next huge tip. This tip is to provide Google and Yahoo with sitemaps to your website. It isn’t very hard to figure out how to do this, and your website will start to get spidered and ranked pretty fast, all for just providing the search engines with a “map” to your website! Just go to www.google.com/webmasters/tools in order to start submitting a sitemap to Google, or for Yahoo you can head on over to http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/. If you don’t know how to write a sitemap, then there are also programs across the web that will do it for you.

One last piece of simple SEO advice that I have to share with you is that you should still include titles and meta tags in the html of your web pages. You are also going to want to make sure that you “theme” these pages. Even though the search engines don’t rank your websites according to the titles and meta tags like they did in the past, the search engines will still use these titles and tags as a “guide” in order to see what type of content you are providing. When you provide these titles and tags, you will want to make sure you use similar keyword phrases within the body of your web page. For example, if you had a web page on grocery savings, you would want to maybe have the title say “The Grocery Savings Zone.” You would also want to make sure that the content on that page mentioned grocery savings a few times, and you would also want to have your meta tags include phrases similar to grocery savings.

Following these 3 simple techniques for SEO together will prove to be most effective. As you grow your blog, your new posts will be easily spidered, indexed, and ranked because of your sitemap submissions. Also, by providing titles and meta tags on your other web pages, you will easily allow the search engines to discover the main themes for your site. Before you know it, you will see high search engine rankings for a number of your pages all because you followed a few basic and effective techniques.

I recently stumbled upon a program that teaches you that you can get Google Adwords for free. I was a bit skeptical and didn’t feel like paying the $97 for the program, especially when I am always researching “real” ways to get free traffic for your websites and could not think of any “real” way of getting Adwords from Google for free. Since I still wanted to know what all the hype was about, I did a few searches on Google and YouTube for people who had things to say about this system for getting Adwords for free. What I learned made me grateful for not spending the $97, especially when I am not the type of person who would go out and ask for a refund…

So, here is the basic concept that I learned from what other people had to say. If you want to get Google Adwords for free, you can do so by using OPM. That’s, right, by using Other People’s Money you can get your Adwords “free” because your aren’t the one that is spending the dough. There real question is, “How do I get my hands on other people’s money in order to pay for my Adwords?” Well, what you will basically be doing is charging other people money in order to get ad placement on your website. Here is an example: First of all, you pay adwords so that get you into the #1 spot on Google. Although this can cost $1 and $2 for many keywords, it will be o.k. since you will eventually spend other people’s money and not your own (if all goes well).

After you get this #1 spot for these keywords, you then need to turn into a great salesperson. You gather a list of website names and companies that are greatly related to your target market. For example, maybe you sell hiking boots on your website. You would then start to gather a huge list of huge list of other companies that maybe sell other hiking equipment and camping gear. You may even want to contact a few of your competitors.

After you have your list, then it’s time to become a salesperson. You will contact these companies and then offer them ad placement on your website. You will charge them a flat-rate monthly fee for this advertising. You will then use these monthly fees to pay your enormous Adwords bill and then hopefully break-even or possibly make some money off of the deal.

O.K., so like I said, I haven’t purchased this system, but I have learned from a couple of sources that this is the main concept behind getting those Adwords for free. In my opinion, this whole process could possibly work for your business, but at the same time it seems like you could possible lose a lot of money as well.

Now, here is my way of “Getting Adwords For Free.” I believe that if you want to truly get “Adwords for free” then you shouldn’t have to pay money to do so. If you are still paying for the Adwords, then they aren’t free right?

My way of getting “Adwords for free” doesn’t involve paying for AdWords, but it still uses Google in order to drive tons of free traffic to your website. For a while I have been using videos and articles in my marketing in order to drive massive amounts of free traffic to my websites. This works because search engines like Google will easily rank good articles and videos. When people read my articles and videos, they are then given an incentive to visit my website for more free information. For this website, we offer people 2 free eBooks, free weekly conference calls, and a free mini course. This has been working extremely well! If you haven’t had the chance to sign up, then you can visit our home page or sign up to the left of this blog post.

I’m not a huge expert at search engine optimization, and I say this because I like to focus on the SEO that is easy to do and that works. This being said, what I do consider myself an expert in is RSSEO (Really Simple Search Engine Optimization), and I would like to share with you one of the simple techniques that has given me the most success with the search engines.

This little bit of advice involves creating a simple sitemap and submitting that sitemap to the search engines. From what I have seen, this is the number one thing that you can do in order to get Google and other search engines to start spidering your website for content. Once you get them to spider your content, then they can easily index and rank it.

I have a number of blogs on my different sites, and by using this one technique Google has started to spider my blog very frequently which has been able to get me a whole lot of free visitors to my website. This normally doesn’t come instantly, but it normally starts a couple of weeks after I submit my sitemap. So, even if your website is completely new, this one technique can still work, and it works because this is what most search engines WANT you to do in order to tell them that you have content on your site worth ranking.

Now, I actually have no idea how to create a sitemap by myself, so I use a simple sitemap creator software program that will create my sitemaps for me. These tools usually only require a few minutes of my time and greatly reduce the confusion of what you should include in these sitemaps.

After you have created your sitemap and uploaded it to your website, you will then just need to head on over to www.google.com/webmasters/tools in order to inform Google of your sitemap. This is also a simplified process which should only take a few minutes of your time.

Soon after you submit your sitemap to Google, you can then log back into your webmasters account and start to see what portions of your website have been spidered by Google (Remember to be patient! This can happen immediately, but will likely take a couple of weeks). You will also be able to see the top keyword phrases that your website has started to be ranked for. After you learn how the whole process works with Google, you can then head on over to Yahoo and other search engines and follow the same steps with their search engines. At the end, I think you will be pretty happy with the results! This is the absolutely best thing I have done for my websites that has improved their search engine rankings.

I talk more about RSSEO in my free eBook: “How to Reverse the Google Slap for Free Google Traffic.” Make sure to sign up to the left for this free eBook, free weekly conference calls, and a free mini course.

Daniel Pereira

What is the keyword that you would love to have a first place ranking for on Yahoo and Google? Let’s pretend you have started up your own website for internet marketing. How great would it be if you had that number one spot for the keywords internet marketing. Now, if you ever did have the goal of having the number one spot for this keyword phrase, and then you went and typed this phrase in Google, then you would probably think to yourself that your goal would be almost impossible to achieve, especially when you see that there are over 81 million results for this keyword phrase. Now, the question is, is it possible to compete and actually rank on even the first page with over 81 million results? Well, the real answer is “yes,” it is possible to do this with almost any keyword phrase, but it isn’t something that will happen with some “magical formula” overnight.

The real way to get your #1 search engine ranking for a really tough keyword phrase is to take things step-by-step. You see, a common mistake that webmasters will make is to try and optimize a website for that keyword phrase that has millions of websites competing for it. They will spend months and months trying to optimize and trying to make Google think that their pages of information on internet marketing are betting than everyone else. And the funny thing is that many people will make pages and pages of killer content that ARE better than everyone else’s, but they still won’t even get ranked on the first page of Google for their “target keyword phrase.”

The reason why these webmasters don’t succeed after months and months of trying is because they are trying to run a marathon without ever running a 7 minute mile. When you train for a marathon, you don’t jump straight into that marathon. You run shorter distances for months in preparation for the big race. And when it comes to search engine ranking, if you want to get the number one rank for a highly competitive keyword, then you first need to get the number one rank for many of the less competitive keyword phrases.

So let’s say that your “target keyword phrase” (the phrase that you really want the number one spot for) is our example of the keyword phrase internet marketing. What you need to do is first take the easier route of getting the number one spot for something like the phrase: internet marketing for beginners, which after doing a quick search only yields about 500,000 results on Google. So, you write articles, do blog posts, and create pages, optimizing your website for this keyword phrase. You soon discover that after a bit of work, it wasn’t that hard to get to the first page of Google for the less competitive keyword phrase, so then you do the same thing over again and pick a different keyword phrase that isn’t too competitive.
