We focus mainly on internet marketing in these training posts, but we know a lot of you out there have backend product/program that has a MLM pay plan. We, like Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump, highly recommend Network Marketing.

Let’s face it. This industry is not a get rich quick scheme and you’ll be involved for a while…at least to continue getting your residual checks. It’s worth taking a long, deep look into a company before making the commitment.

The information contained here is NOT to endorse any one company, or to make anyone mad. If you DO get mad, it tells me that you’re too attached to your company emotionally…not a good sign because emotions can blind you so you can’t see glaring trouble in your future. This is a business that you’ll be involved in for a long time. A business that you’re likely to get family and friends involved in. They deserve to be lead in the right direction. Be honest with yourself in this evaluation.

This is not meant to say these are the only things to look for or that you can take this info as “divine revelation”. It’s just a darn good idea to make sure that your company has all 10 of these characteristics.

Remember that we can give you all the training you need and you can have the greatest skills in the world. All that means NOTHING if you are in a bad company…the result is the same—you must start over!! If not now, then even LATER in your career. Which do you prefer?

 Here are ten tips to help you choose a high quality, winning network marketing company…

1. Do they have outstanding, unique proprietary or patented products with affordable pricing? Choose a product that everyone wants and that no one else offers. Independent scientific research and verification of the products effectiveness is a great plus. The product your company offers is everything to your business. Your retention rates and income depend on this. Would you use the product even if the bizopp wasn’t there?

2. Choose a company that has been in business at least five years. A company that has survived the initial start up phase is a more secure opportunity as they are more likely to survive. Two years for an internet company or 5 years for an offline company is a good guideline. Occasionally, you’ll find a newer company whose credentials are outstanding… If so, investigate them thoroughly, even visit the company’s headquarters, and get unbiased opinions from seasoned network marketers. If you don’t follow this, remember that you have a 3% chance of winning…those are NOT good odds.

3. Thoroughly check out the credentials of the company management. Do they have experience running a network marketing company? Their skill or lack of it will directly affect YOUR paycheck and YOUR future. If you can’t find any info on them, that’s a bad sign…

4. Check the credentials of the company’s top distributors. Are they experienced network marketers of integrity? When reputable, seasoned industry “big hitters” join a company, that’s a sign that they see an opportunity for years to come! Why use your own experience only? These people are seasoned.

5. Does the compensation plan offer generous commissions for beginners as well as full timers? This helps your new business to survive the first year, and helps your new distributors get into profit quickly as well. Survive, then thrive! It’s VERY important to be able to explain your comp plan and be able to calculate fairly easily what your check will be every month.

6. Is your potential network marketing company an ethical, mission driven company with a focus on helping others? Companies that focus only on money do not inspire people or attract high quality representatives.

7. Is the network marketing company profitable? Are they debt free… or otherwise in great financial shape? Take the time to investigate this.

8. Can you sell your products online and internationally? Operating internationally gives you an excellent chance for growth and expansion later on.

9. Do they have a money back guarantee on their products? This is basic good business practice!

10. Are they a member of the Better Business Bureau or Direct Selling Association (or the equivalent in your country)? This is not a deal breaker, but it’s YOUR career…

Hopefully, after reading these, you’re in exaltation at the prospect of your company staying around forever…or are you in cold sweats because your company has only 3 of these? By the way, my first MLM had exactly 3 of these, but I was blind to its flaws until it was shut down. It had #s 5, 6 and 9…now that I look at it with an honest eye. But before, when I had emotional attachment to it (and I had personally sponsored 160+ people in my first 6 months), I would have said to myself that it had #s 1, 3, 4 as well. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. That’s the biggest reason why I wrote this…prevention.
