First, a quick overview of what I am teaching you.  Basically, each time I shoot the content for one video, I make sure to take the majority of that content and alter it in slightly different ways so that I can create multiple videos to upload to the many video sharing sites across the web.  I generally like to make a short, normal, and long version for each section of content that I am creating videos for.  As a result, instead of one video, I have three, and since I like to shoot 10 or 15 videos per week, I can turn that content into 30 to 45 videos.

This is how I do everything:  First, I make sure that I can take my content and create 3 different but similar video titles.  I will optimize my titles, tags and descriptions so that I can try and get my videos ranked.  After I have my 3 different titles, then what I do is start editing my content so that I can turn it into 3 different videos. 

The first version of my videos is normally my short version.  This is the version where I will take most of the raw content and make it into my video.  If I do add something extra to the content, usually it will just be adding text with the video containing my contact information or website name.  I usually do all of this using Windows Movie Maker.

The second version of my videos is usually my normal version.  In this version I take the same content from my short version but I will add credits to the end of the video.  Usually these credits are no longer than 7 seconds long, and they usually tell people about a compelling free offer if they visit my website.

In the third version of my videos, what I do is take the same content from my normal version and then add a little bit more to it.  This time I will usually add a title or intro page for the video.  This is just a normal page with a title introducing the videos main concept.  After I have my 3 versions created, then I upload them using software that allows me to send each one of the 3 videos to over 30 different video sharing sites. 

 I normally have no problems using this method to upload my content to video sharing sites.  This is because I am technically not uploading multiple content.  Each one of my 3 videos are unique in some way.  If you would like, you can take this concept a step further and create significantly longer and shorter versions of your content in order to make different versions. 

The main reason why doing this benefits me in my video marketing is because instead of having one chance at creating a successful video, I am giving myself 3 chances.  There have been plenty of times where one of my video versions has received tons of views, but the same video in a different version has received very few views.  The only real difference between these videos has been the titles.  So, normally you don’t know exactly which title, description and tags is going to get you the most views, so if you give your self 3 chances to get it right, then normally one of those three versions is going to get a great amount of views.

So, if you have any type of online presence at all, then it just makes sense to use YouTube.  I have even seen companies that just sell clothing use YouTube to promote their websites.  Shooting a video of a new purse style (or even an old one) may be boring to a lot of people, but a video doing this will still get views and still drive free traffic to a website. 

Yesterday I once again celebrated a great 4^th of July, and for part of the day I was browsing the internet.  I found myself once again on YouTube and I noticed how true it was that you can promote almost anything and get response on these video sharing sites.  I saw a video and it was created by the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council.  They created a somewhat funny video on proper hot dog eating etiquette.  As a result, this video received almost 200,000 views in a short period of time.  Not bad advertising for the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, right?  But, what is my point here,  my point is that you can use these video sharing sites and create a great amount of exposure for yourself.  And if one video creates a buzz, then why not create 5 videos, or 10 videos, or 100 videos?  Besides, you only have to create and upload your videos once and then it can act as a marketing tool for you and your business for years to come.

I am assuming that you already have topics picked out in order for you to create multiple videos.  If you don’t then you’ll want to take the time to do so.  I usually pick keyword phrases within my niche markets that I want to dominate.  I think create keyword rich titles relevant to the topics outlined in those keyword phrases.  I then make sure I use those same keyword phrases as the tags for my videos.

Realizing that videos can take a fairly long time to upload, you will want to keep your videos short and to the point.  So if I am creating a video on “How to Create 100 YouTube Videos in One Day,”  then I would want to run through all the outlined steps and give you my offer for additional information all within 1 ½ minutes time. 

O.K., so in order to reach the goal of 100 videos in one day, this is what you will do.  You will take your 100 titles along with your keywords, but you will put each of those 100 titles in groups of 3.  Each group of 3 will represent titles that are so similar to each other that you can assign that same title to the exact same video.  What does this mean?  This means that you are actually only going to shoot 34 videos, add different introductions and endings to the videos, all so that you can create 100 videos with those 34 videos that you have recorded.  Is this legit?  Well, if you upload the exact same video to YouTube, then you know it will get rejected.  The same rule applies to other websites.  But if you take one video, make a normal version, then make a version with text introducing the video, and then make a version with a credits at the end of the video, technically you have created 3 different videos, haven’t you?  And if all 3 of those videos have unique titles, then there are rarely any problems even though a large portion of the content may be the same. 

O.K., so this is your next step:  While you are creating your 3 different versions, you will also need to start uploading your videos (since that normally takes a while).  I use a program that lets me upload each video 1 time, and then I input the title with the tags in order to upload this same video to various sites.  Luckily, by keeping my videos under 1 and ½ minutes long, I can upload these videos pretty fast.  Usually by the time I have finished taking one video clip and turning it into 3 videos, the previous 3 videos have already finished uploading.  With this method I go in a cycle, creating 3 versions of each video clip while 3 different videos are uploading. 

After all of my videos are created and uploaded, I can then add then just add the titles and the tags to the videos and then send them to multiple sites (over 40 sites) all at once.  Here is the timeline as to how to make this all happen in 24 hours:  If you haven’t already created your titles and tags, you are a step behind.  If you work fast, this can take you just a few hours.  When you are ready to film, you will decide to film 34 topics, all at under 1 ½ minutes long.  If you already have your topics ready to go, and you already know what you are going to teach people in the videos, then you can keep the camera rolling as you teach one topic, pause, prepare for the next, and then teach the next topic.  With this method you can record on a few different taps and should be done with the whole process within 3 hours.  That gives you a little over 5 minutes on average to record each topic. 

When you upload the first tape of videos to your computer, you can finally take a little break, maybe eat lunch or something.  But the second your tape is done uploading, then you need to start taking that content and creating your videos.  I use windows movie maker in order to easily take each topic that I have recorded and turn it into 3 different videos.  I can usually create 3 videos from each one of my topics while simultaneously uploaded 3 other videos, in about 10 minute’s time.  This means that after about 6 hours, you should finally have all 100 videos created and uploaded, and then you just need to add your title, description and tags.  Now, since your titles and tags have already been written, the only hard part here is your descriptions, unless you do what I do.  Most of the time my actual description is my offer for more free information, so most of the times, all of my descriptions are the same.  If you have all your descriptions the same, then is should only take you a few more hours to send your videos to the video sharing sites if you use the type of software that I use to send out my videos.

With your market research, you need to realize that videos do get ranked by the search engines, but generally this will happen with less competitive markets and keyword phrases. For example, a couple of weeks ago we helped a friend get some pretty good Google rankings through video marketing in order to drive more customers to her local hair salon. Even though she was competing with hundreds of other salons, her competition was still next to nothing because not very many salon owners are internet marketers.

If you are in a competitive market, your videos can still get top search engine rakings, but you’ll have to work harder on your keyword research and go after very specific keyword phrases. For example, a video optimized for the phrase “internet marketing” isn’t going to make it to Google’s front page, but a video optimized for the phrase “online marketing for beginners” could because it is a phrase that few people optimize for and it still gets monthly searches according to my secret keyword tool (which isn’t so secret, it’s the Google AdWords keyword tool).

When I optimize my videos, I simply make sure that I start off my title with my target keyword phrase and then include that keyword and other similar keyword phrases in the tags. I also will occasionally make sure to include those similar keyword phrases in the description of my video.

My 4th step is using a video uploading software. My favorite video uploading software is found at www.videotrafficandleads.com. If you only upload to YouTube, your videos may or may not make it to the front page. If you upload to various video sharing sites, then you improve your chances. I continue to upload videos according to the target keyword phrases that I want to dominate until I have a large amount of the front page listings for Google. Now that’s what I call REAL free Google advertising!

We suggest that you write down your top ten frustrations. And start a video log “vlog” about them. Then you can follow up with how you overcame those frustrations. Hopefully having something to do with your business, but even if not yet, it’ll give you even more credibility that you’re not a sales type.

Your FIRST 10 videos need to be about your 10 biggest frustrations…then take that to share with your audience… what you learned and what opened up for you.

OK, the name of your channel is important too…when I first started my YouTube channel I used my Business name or something like that…now I’ve titled it about personal development…I recommend that you brand your name in it, unless you have a very common one.

Now, you’ll still want to post videos about your business…as folks start to subscribe to your videos they’ll get an email (unless they have turned off notices) when you post a new video.

You’ll want to send them a personal email message asking them to subscribe to your channel.

At first you’ll get a few, but you’ll soon be up to hundreds if you post good info and content. These people who get a notice every time you post a video.

See, it’s YOUR TV Channel…your time to shine…will people come back time and time again to watch your videos? It’s up to you and your effort, as well as testing and tracking.

And make sure you go out and watch other’s videos and subscribe to them and comment on them…this works to help you build a team of video marketing superstars!

It’s every video marketer’s dream:  That their video will get passed from person to person all across the web, bringing massive exposure for them and their business!  The only problem?  People aren’t very good at sharing, And even “perfect” videos may only get shared by a few people.  The solution?  Create each video so that your video is “viral” to the video sharing sites, or in other words, create ways to make the video sharing sites think that your content is worth sharing.  You see, the video sharing sites are your friends, and if a normal person won’t share your video with the world, a video sharing website just might.  But the video sharing site will only share your video with tons of people if you get that site to think that your video is really, really good.  Luckily, through my research I have been able to see how you can “trick” the video sharing sites into thinking that your video is better than everyone else’s, and the cool think is that this “trick” is considered to be a 100% legit.  I would never teach you one of those many black hat tricks!

So, what is this “trick” and why is it legit?  Well, the answer is actually so simple, that you aren’t going to believe it!  You see, I have discovered through my research how to easily get tons of viewers to rank, comment or share your video.  And if you have a video with lots of rankings and comments, then normal people may not share your video, but the video sharing sites will think your video is really great, so these sites will give your video more than average exposure. 

Drum roll please!  The simple trick is to ask people during your videos to rank, comment, or share your video with people!  Guess what happens when you simply follow this one step?  You will get a lot more comments and I have seen many videos get around 1 out of 30 people to simply rank the video!  And these are really great numbers!  You know that really famous “hahaha” video?  The one with the baby that laughs hysterically while his father makes a “boing” sound.  Well, at the time that I am writing this article, it has about 50 millions views.  And only about 1 out of 350 people have given this video a ranking.  People really love this video and only 3 out of every 1,000 viewers gives it a rank!  What is wrong with people?

Well, obviously there isn’t anything wrong with people, the only problem here is that people WON”T REMEMBER to rank a video if you don’t remind them to!  Most people will watch videos online for a long time, and they won’t even remember about some of the ranking systems that are available, that is, unless YOU REMIND THEM! 

Now, let’s say that you have a really great video that shares some great info with people, without reminding them of the ranking system, they will more than likely not give your video a ranking from the numbers we have seen.  But if you simply ask them to rank, comment, or share your video, and if they liked you video, then why wouldn’t they thank you by taking the 1 second to rank your video?  The real answer is that most people WILL take that one second to rank your video if you ask them to.  And if lots of people are ranking your video, then the video sharing sites will get the impression that people find your video interesting.  As a result, the video sharing sites will “share” your video more often and they can make your marketing videos “viral” for you!

Now, I’ll admit that this video was a pretty good video, and it actually deserved a rating, but the funny thing is that every day I’ll view a good handful of great informative videos, and I won’t give those videos a rating.  The rating system with most of the video sharing sites help these sites determine which videos are of great value.  If a certain video gets a lot of ratings and comments, then that means that the video will normally get more and more exposure.  So, if you have a way of getting people to rate and comment on your videos, then this means that your videos will get ranked even higher!

So, here is the magic formula for making all of this happen:  Just simply ask for to rate and comment on your video.  That’s it!  You see, I did a little bit of research and found that when people actually ask for your to rate and comment of their video, a lot of the time they will at least rate the video for you, just because you asked!  That is what I did.  I rated this guy’s video because he asked me to.  Most of the time I am so busy that I don’t even remember that there is a rating system, but when he asked me to rate his video within the video, I was reminded and I simply gave him a rating without thinking. 

So, when it comes to viral video marketing, the magic words are simply “please” and “thank you.”  Simply thanking people for watching your video and asking them to please comment and rank your video will get your video more and more exposure.  Also, if you ask people to share your video with others, then they will more than likely remeber to share your video if it is worth sharing.

So why does this work and will this always work?  Well, I’ll be the first to tell you that this will not always work, and the first reason why is because most people ask for you to rate, share, or comment on the video at the very end of the video.  And if you video is garbage, then almost nobody will see the end of your video.  So, there is an important psychological aspect that you need to include when you ask someone to share, rate, or comment on your video.  You need to make the viewer feel like that you have provided them will something valuable as they watched your video.  This is especially easy with a “how to” video.  Think about this:  If I created a really detailed “how to” video that taught you how to easily make an extra $100 today, then my guess would be that you would be very thankful for this information.  Now, if I simply asked you a favor at the end of the video, a favor that would just take anywhere from 1 second to a couple of minutes (your choice by-the-way) then would you at least do me the 1 second favor?  In most cases, most people would at least do the 1 second favor, and when I talk about a 1 second favor, I just mean simply giving my video a rating, and if my video even just gets a bunch of ratings, then my video will get ranked higher and higher, given my video more and more views and allowing that video to be shared with more and more viewers.

Now, when it comes to YouTube Marketing, there are some people who try to make extra income for their business, but they end up making a really boring video in order to drive free traffic to their websites. This happens a lot of the time when people try to market the products that they sell on YouTube. What will they do? They will simply shoot a video that showcases that single product. I am sure you have seen videos such as these. They will just sit there, film the product, and maybe describe a couple of the products features. As boring as these videos are, some of them still get views, but most of the time the view count will not get past a few hundred, which basically means nobody cares about your video and maybe only one or two people have gone to your website.

Now, check this out: I have seen videos on YouTube that market products and services that have had hundreds of thousands of views. One video that comes to mind is a video from the company ThinkGeek. You see, they have this unique product that they sell that is an alarm clock that will help you get out of bed in the morning. So, instead of filming the alarm clock and talking about the features, they actually made a video of a man’s reaction to the clock when it woke him up in the morning. Needless to say, this made for an entertaining video which also got people thinking as to how this product could help themselves get out of bed in the morning and/or friends and family. This one video has about 400,000 views. My guess is that probably around 1 to 2 percent of people watching this video probably go to the actual ThinkGeek website in order to see the price of this product and other products that ThinkGeek may have. That is great website exposure for one video!

Now, for those of us who are selling information on the internet, there is an easier way to get free traffic to our websites using YouTube. What I like to do is create a bunch of short videos that are “how to” videos or videos that answer a marketing question. I am able to easily create hundreds of these videos. With each video I make sure that I include a free offer for more information. So, for example, let’s say I have a video on YouTube marketing and how to make money on YouTube. (O.K., if you haven’t guessed it, I will make a video on this same topic after I finish with this blog post.) With this video I will share the same information that is in this post, and at the and at the end of the video I will provide an offer for additional free information.

Usually, I try and make the offer so great that I will get an even higher response than the 1 or 2 percent that the successful ThinkGeek video will achieve. This is due to the fact that the ThinkGeek videos aren’t providing people with a special offer to visit the website. They just are hoping that people will have the desire to visit their website. If they had an offer in their description telling people that they could win free ThinkGeek products, then a lot more people would decide to view the ThinkGeek YouTube channel and then go to the ThinkGeek website.

So, to wrap things up, when you create your YouTube videos, if you take the time to make them informative and/or interesting, then your video will get more views and people will find greater interest in your company. Even with this built interest in your company, many people still won’t visit your website, unless you offer them some icing to go along with that cake. In this case, your icing on the cake will be your offer. Offer them a compelling reason to visit your website and they will likely take you up on that offer. Another great viral video that comes to mind is “Hahaha.”  That is the one with the baby sitting in his highchair that is laughing hysterically while his father makes a high pitched “boing” sound.  At the time that I am writing this article, it has about 50 million views on YouTube.

Now, those two videos are great examples, but if you are an internet marketer reading this article, then what you really want to know is how to create a great viral video that isn’t just about babies or grown men acting funny.  What you want is your expertise to be shared with everyone else.  Well, lucky for you, I do have a couple of viral video examples that have accomplished this feat.  These are videos of people who weren’t necessarily doing something funny that got shared with everyone else! 

One of my personal favorites is the StomperNet Going Natural 2 video.  Now, this video hasn’t exactly been put on a bunch of social networking sites, and that is due to the fact that it is about 1 hour long.  BUT!  This video still is a great example of a great viral video.  This is because this video reveals a whole lot of information that many people would normally charge you hundreds of dollars for.  It was like the eBook “Million Dollar Emails,” but in video form.  If you aren’t familiar with the eBook “Million Dollar Emails,” then just so you know, this was an eBook compiled by Yanik Silver that is one of the greatest examples of a successful viral eBook. 

Now, both of these resources, the StomperNet video and Yanik’s eBook are both free in most cases (sorry if you paid for Yanik’s book by the way, many people share it for free).  Both of these resources are so great that I still refer to them at times.  I have opened my copy of “Million Dollar Emails” and have read from it various times over the past year.  Also, I have watched the StomperNet video at least a few times.  So, now it’s time to answer the question on how to make a great viral video.  First:  If everyone thinks that your video is funny, then you’ve already succeeded.  The bad thing is a funny video isn’t going to make you any money unless you create tons of funny videos with the hopes of becoming a famous comedian or something.  Second:  If you are going to make a great viral video that isn’t funny, then it has to be great and preferably new information that you are going to share with everyone.  It needs to be stuff that you would normally see people sell, but for your own reasons, today you are giving it away for free.  And if people really think that the info you are giving away for free is worth a good amount of money, then they will gladly share it with everyone else providing you with tons of free leads.

The whole point here is that if you create a video with really great information (that people are looking for) then you video can get shared with others.  There have been a number of great informative videos that I have shared with my friends, and you have probably shared a few great videos youself.

What I am going to discuss in this article are 2 simple ways that you can obtain first place search engine rankings for many keywords across the web.  These two simple ways are by first: creating videos, and by second:  creating articles.  But you have to do it the right way…

What you are ultimately looking for when you create any article or video is keyword domination.  With this specific article, I have done a bit of research and I came to the conclusion that it may be a little difficult, but with this article I chose a specific keyword phrase that I wanted to dominate.  That keyword phrase is “Google Traffic For Free.”  Chances are that if you are reading this article, you found it because I have in at least a small way accomplished my goal.  You may not have typed in the exact words “Google Traffic For Free,”  but you may have typed in a similar phrase and therefore found my article. 

After I pick my keyword phrase that I want to dominate, I then need to take additional steps in order to find my article or video at the top of the search engine rankings.  One of the things I need to do is use a keyword help tool in order to create my tags for my article or video.  What I am really looking for when I do this are keyword phrases that are very similar to my “target” keyword phrase.  In the case of this article, I did a little bit of research and decided to use 6 keyword phrases as my tags, the first one is my target keyword phrase and then the other five are very similar.  Here are the other 5 tags that I decided to use with this article:  increase traffic for free, get traffic for free, website traffic for free, web traffic for free, free website traffic.

So, after I have my 6 tags, what I then need to do is chose a keyword rich article title.  In this case I think I did a pretty good job.  I was able to use the each of the keywords Google, Traffic and Free in the article title twice!  And the great thing was that the title still flowed well.  When you make the title, it can’t just be a bunch of rubbish.  It needs to be keyword rich and then still make sense and make for an interesting article title.

I use this method every time I make an article or a video to submit.  There are hundreds of websites that I submit each article to and about 40 sites that I submit each video to.  As a result, each article and video gets great exposure across the web for lots of free traffic, many of it coming from Google.
